Depeche Mode, Black Celebration Lana Del Rey, Born To Die (The Paradise Edition) Pulp, Different Class I'm primarily a lyricist, and no one writes or has written better than Jarvis Cocker (sorry Leonard!). 'Black Celebration' is the reason I got into music. And Lana is the quintessential crooner - she's like Bukowski and S. Thomson in a velvet voice. One night in a Jazz club in Shanghai (Heyday) I saw Denise sing Gnarl Barley's 'Crazy' and she blew me away. I went to her and point blank asked if she'd record this version.
